If you're passionate about community health, love problem-solving, and want to make a real difference outside the traditional ambulance model, this is a role worth checking out.

WLFEA is expanding our Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) program and looking for a motivated Mobile Integrated Health Technician (MIHT) to join our team. This position focuses on proactive care—helping frequent EMS users, supporting recently discharged patients, doing in-home assessments, managing chronic conditions, and connecting community members with the resources they need. You’ll also jump on the ambulance during busy times.

This is a great opportunity for EMS professionals who want to broaden their skills, work closely with healthcare partners, and be part of a forward-thinking, community-driven program.

    What You’ll Do

    • In-home visits for assessments, vitals, blood draws, wound care, and medication checks

    • Post-hospital follow-up and chronic disease support

    • Patient education (falls prevention, nutrition, disease management, etc.)

    • Coordinate care with hospitals, clinics, and social service agencies

    • Assist on 911 units when call volume spikes

    • Maintain MIH equipment, vehicle, and documentation

    Minimum Requirements

    • Oregon EMT license

    • BLS certification

    • ICS 100/200/700/800 (or willing to complete within 6 months)

    • Valid Oregon driver’s license

    • Ability to pass physical agility test, background check, medical/physical screening & drug test

    Preferred (Not Required)

    • AEMT, EMT-I, or Paramedic

    • ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, CCEMTP, CCP-C, FP-C, CP-C, etc.

    • Five years of EMS field experience

    • Associate degree in Paramedicine or related field

    • Fire department EMS or community health experience

    Interested?

Send your resume, cover letter, and certifications to Att: Chief Chance info@wlfea.org

If you're looking for a role where you can use your EMS skills in a proactive, patient-focused way—and be part of a program that truly helps people stay healthy and safe—this might be the perfect next step.
