Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is expanding the Behavioral Health Co-Responder Program to include four more positions. Co-responders will be assigned to various areas in Maricopa County, up to and including Surprise, Mesa, Sun City, Buckeye, Gila Bend, Fountain Hills, Anthem, Cave Creek, and more. The position is in person, with a focus on patrol assist, allowing co-responders to respond to multiple calls within their area independently. Co-responders will be provided with all safety equipment and a take home vehicle.
