Tacoma Police Department is located in Tacoma, WA.

The Co-Responders are Designated Crisis Responders who are embedded with law enforcement (LE).  LE is able to utilize the Co-Responders as a resource when responding to mental health calls and provide resources, risk assessments, and follow ups for individuals and their families that are in crisis or struggling with mental health.  

Job Requirements: 

• Working with Law Enforcement 
• Responding to community calls 
• Three years' experience in a mental health setting required 
• Current or former experience as a Designated Mental Health Professional preferred 
• Must be mental health professional in accordance with WAC 388-865-0150 
• Current Washington Driver's License and reliable transportation require

Currently we have 2 open Co-Responder positions with the Tacoma Police Department who contracts through Multicare Health System.  This position is fulltime with benefits. Currently we have Swings Shifts available.  Multicare is also offering a $5,000 sign on bonus and the starting wage is $37.89 per hour.  The hourly wage increases with the experience you have in mental health.
